At the top of the building, beneath original beams and a vaulted ceiling that opens the volume to the sky, Residenza Belvedere VIII is the apartment guests come back for. Three bedrooms, a hydrotherapy bath inside, a private rooftop terrace with its own spa bath and pergola — and a view across Lake Como that no other unit in the building can match.
The Apartment
The top-floor footprint is the most distinctive in the residence. Whitewashed timber beams cross a vaulted ceiling above an open living and dining space that feels at once contemporary and unmistakably Lake Como — the Ceppo di Gré kitchen with its sculpted central island, the long oak table, the low sofas in soft neutral linen. Track lighting picks out the architecture; floor-to-ceiling glazing draws the lake into the room. Three bedrooms sit beyond, two doubles and a single, each with bespoke joinery and the same soft sage palette that runs through the building. Two resin bathrooms, one with a deep hydrotherapy tub, continue the spa-like restraint. The defining feature is the private rooftop terrace: deck, dining setting, sun loungers, and a freestanding spa bath beneath a pergola wrapped in seasonal greenery, the whole composition opening onto the longest view in the building.
